Lisa Smith Information

My work is thrown and altered, using Porcelain and a white Stoneware. I aim to communicate the notion of movement, through both gestural activity in the making, and the fluidity of glazes as they move around the forms. I make deliberate decisions to leave imperfections allowing them to become an integral part of the pot. An important focus in my work is to develop my own glazes, creating different surface decorations within one glaze application.
